The main aim of our Non Profit Organisation is to make awareness to Mental Health issues people face while living everyday life. We will address three things we feel are important starting with pregnant mothers who suffer Mental Health issues during and after pregnancy. Many things can happen to a pregnant mother like Mental Health or diabetes in and after giving birth. We will try to make people more aware of this and hopefully add resources to help people. Rejection of a family baby and friends is an important thing to address.
The second thing we would like to address is Mental Health and people who are living on the streets. People living on the streets has become a hot topic and that is why we wanted to cover this too. In fact, 4,266 people were noted to be sleeping rough in the UK in 2019. A lot of these people where subject to Mental Health problems and without a basic address find it hard to interact with Mental Health services. These days with the introduction of Universal Credit homeless people have found it hard to claim with no address. There has to be a solution somewhere to this issue. We would like to get involved in this area to contribute time and help finding a solution to this problem.
Finally, we would like to cover general Mental Health issues that effect people daily lives. This could be work issues that someone is having. There is still a stigma about having Mental Heath issues. If we look at the stats, 5,691 people committed suicide in England and Wales in 2019. How can we allow this to happen? With this COVID Virus 2020/2021 who knows what the figure maybe. Social isolation too is becoming more apparent. People not wanting to go out and face the world.
The basic Mental Health system is stretched. Ten years ago a Care
Co-ordinator would have around twelve cases, now this is no doubt twenty five and above cases that they are involved in. The more people involved, the more likely a difference can be made for people with a silent disorder.
