It’s the 7th of Feb 2024 and I just wanted to leave a little note down. I had to make a personal call to the NHS today but lost the departments number. NHS England is closed on a Wednesday so I could not get the number from them. I found a number online and called it but had to pick an option I was unsure about. Here goes:
A lady with a nice soft calming voice answered I asked if I had the right department. She said no this is the something department. Nothing to do with her or her department she said I will look for a number from you though if you hang on. At this point it was amazing how a calm kind voice can do wonders for your phone experience. I’m bad on a phone these days not sure why maybe they changed me over the past few years. Well she came back and said you can try this number if its not right ring me again gave me her name and number and we can try again. I’m in a meeting at 10 but if you get an answerphone leave a message. MY MY.
What can I say to that, calmness, kindness, helpfulness and to me someone that’s proud to work for the NHS.
The number was correct awful call due to the nature. I lost her number but rang the NHS department again and left a message on an answering machine leaving my details. I had to say thank you it was important for me to do it. She rang back I said I called just to say how wonderful she was and a credit to the NHS and a few things. If you cloned her she would be perfect staff for anyone.
No names thankyou J
One last shout out to all the diabetes team at Chorley Hospital overworked, but always caring and kind on the phone and helpful.
Forever
